good-bye hair.

So the time has come for me to cut my hair. And if you know me, you know I am extremely particular about who I let cut my hair. When I lived in Richmond, I drove to DC to cut my hair, and since I am going to DC next weekend, I figured what better time to get a new do! I have been deciding what to get done, and I have finally decided on rocker chic bangs. Sort of like Kate Moss, mostly like CC Sheffield. This picture below is of her and was taken by the Sartorialist. I love almost everything he snaps, but for some reason I can't stop looking at this picture in particular. It's too perfect for words. Her hair, the black jumpsuit, the henna tattoos, the colors, just everything! Anyways, I hope I look half as fun as her with my new haircut!

I am lusting over these....

Stella McCartney shoes. Not only are they simply beautiful but they're made with all animal friendly materials. Which is what I really love about her shoes, as well as Natalie Portman's line for Te Casan. If I wasn't saving my ducks for something I've been lusting over for years now, I would go out and buy these little gems. They also looked amazing on one of my most favorite girl's in Elle UK. Mary-Kate's spread was dazzling.

On the theme of the beloved Olsens. I must post this picture of Ashley from a Hamptons Style magazine from this summer--which featured a great long article and lovely spread on her. Her androgynous clothes have really inspired a lot of my fashion this summer. And although she isn't wearing suspenders in the picture, it looks like she is which is another thing I am dying to get my hands on for Fall. I have a lot of great things in mind to wear them with, so hopefully I can find the perfect pair soon.

Stuntin is a habit. Get Like Me.

So I am totally obsessed with get like me by David Banner. I really really love dirty south hip-hop. And Mr. Q thinks I should be a diiirrrty-south dj in NYC. I have NO dj-ing skills what-so-ever but I have plenty of fresh dj-ing outfits.

Today I am wearing my new Alexander Wang sweater dress, and I love it. And I am completely in love with him. I bought some vintage levi shorts this past weekend inspired by his F/W collection, and I am going to distress my tights with holes and runs just like on his runway and wear them all over manhattan. Anyways you can see the sweater dress in the picture. Although it's a really horrible picture and you don't really get the full greatness effect from it. But oh well.

You know what I've noticed? Most people carry their handbag on the shoulder of the arm they write with. But I don't, I carry it on my left-shoulder. Does that make me goofy-armed? I skateboard goofy-footed too. Weird.

I tried to keep my mouth shut.

So I really try hard to keep politics and my views on political stuff off here. But sometimes I just can't keep my mouth shut. And after hearing SO many people praise Sarah Palin this weekend, I am more than happy to burst her little bubble. First off, it doesn't matter to me if you were a beauty queen, basketball player, or possess the ability to fire a gun? Because what does any of that have to do with your ability to run a country? Nothing! Just because she's a woman doesn't mean I am going to vote for her ticket because I would still be voting for McCain! They still stand for a lot of issues that I am COMPLETELY against. I'd still rather have men running this country than any woman who believes in everything I don't.

And I'm not exactly Lindsay Lohan's biggest fan, but today she hit the nail on the head and I must give her props. Today, she wrote about how everything in the news is about Sarah Palin and her daughter's pregnancy and how she thinks it's whack that SP is bringing attention to her daughters pregnancy rather than what she can do for the US of A. I don't really care that SP is pro-life and therefore her daughter is going to have this child. I actually don't care at all. Why does she think I do? I think the blame of issues like this lies with the parents. Because I believe that a caring, supportive parent who loves as well as disciplines their child is the best way to take preventative measures against issues such as this. Talk to your kids about the consequences of being sexually active at a young age and provide them with the protection.

And like Barack Obama said "Let me be as clear as possible, I think people's families are off-limits, and people's children are especially off-limits. This shouldn't be part of our politics. It has no relevance to Gov. Palin's performance as governor or her potential performance as a vice president." DO WORK SON!

Many kudos to Lindsay Lohan and many others for calling John McCain on his bullshit.

I was going to post about my lovely weekend today. But this seemed more important. So tomorrow I will post some real goodies.
